Hi, I'm Steve Hill. I have a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from UCSC, and I would like to do graduate work in journalism when my schedule permits. My interests are photography, writing, art, music, natural history, habitat restoration and botany. I first enrolled in the newspaper class in 2009. It blew my mind; it was so exciting. I love this experience and this class. I think it's the best journalism experience a novice could hope for. It lifts you out of your comfort zone and teaches you how to design a newspaper from the ground up. You'll learn writing, interviewing, copy editing, photography and videography and design. It's a very challenging, exciting and satisfying class.
