After doing well at the Pat Ryan Invitational, the cross country team traveled south to Santa Barbara to one of the toughest courses in California. For the first time, the team had to run in 600 meters of sand and tall grass.
“Having big groups running together is a good way to prepare for upcoming meets,” said Philippe Gonzalez, the cross country assistant coach.
Although they did not place in Santa Barbara on Oct. 27, the team will be going to the Coast Conference championships in Salinas. Minh Tran said, “We expect to do good and get faster times since we have already ran this course in the past.”
