Thousands of cyclists are preparing for an annual seven-day ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds and awareness about AIDS.
The annual AIDS Lifecycle is an event where participants must fundraise a minimum of $3,000 to participate.
The event will be hosted June 1-7, and all funds raised will be split between the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center.
“At the end of every evening they have events to promote the work of these two foundations as well as a candle light vigil on the beach in Ventura, on the final evening of the ride,” said David Weller, professor of health education.
