Eco Pass is passed

San Jose City College students passed Eco Pass, but Board of Trustees, has yet to approve it. Students were able to pass Eco Pass, voting 75 percent in favor for it during the March 6 to March 8 election.

Associated Student President Mike Casas got word of its passage on Saturday from the AS adviser.

The Eco Pass was not discussed at the Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday evening,  March 12. The last step before Eco Pass gets officially  approved is having the Board of Trustees approve it.

If Eco Pass were to get approved, it would become effective at the start of the Fall 2013 semester. A mandatory transportation fee will have to be paid by all students. The Eco Pass will be brought up in a future Board of Trustees meeting in April.
