San Jose City College hosted the International Education Event for students to learn about different cultures and languages and opportunities to study or volunteer in other countries around the world.
The International Education Week is an event promoted by the United States State Department throughout the world every
November.
This is the first time that SJCC held an event for faculty and students to develop their understanding of the value of cultures and countries worldwide.
Students celebrated the First International Education Week from Nov. 13 to Nov. 15 in the Student Center.
There was a poster competition from different countries for people to learn about more than 40 cultures throughout the world.
Students submitted posters representing 25 countries in a competition judged for best information such as history, foods, technology, traditional and more.
Check out www.iew.state.gov to learn about opportunities for students to have a chance to get into a study abroad program.
