On March 6, 2020, 25-year-old Philadelphia rapper Lil Uzi Vert finally blessed our ears with the galactic, psychedelic, sci-fi sounds of his sophomore album “Eternal Atake.”
Disputes with Uzi’s previous label, Generation Now led by DJ Drama, rendered him unable to release music.
Because he was unable to release music, Uzi swore to never release music again. This left many fans heartbroken, as they watched their favorite artist give up his dreams at the hands of his previous label.
With remnants of past projects, fans wept as they listened, searching for a glimmer of hope. Suddenly, just when all appeared lost, fans awoke to the sophomore album titled “Eternal Atake” on their social media timelines.
The 16-track project with the internet vocalist Syd being the only feature and “Futsal Shuffle” added as a bonus track that debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.
With this being his most recent album to drop since his 2016 release “Luv is Rage 2,” “ Eternal Atake” is destined to break records.
