Cars are the most important partners in Americans’ lives.
Everyone needs a car to drive to school, to work, to travel and for daily life. We care about our cars but don’t realize that traffic accidents may occur because of careless car inspections.
Last Sunday I drove to my friend’s house. When I was driving on the freeway, a loud noise came from under the car. I thought the engine was broken, and then I saw something fly out from under the car.
I parked my car on the shoulder immediately. What did I see? My tire was gone. Crazy. Though I did not get hurt, I still feel afraid when I think of it.
Here is a tip to help you check your tires: Place a penny head first into several tread grooves across the tire. If you always see the top of Lincoln’s head, your treads are shallow and worn. If this is the case, your tires need to be replaced.
For your and other people’s safety, please check your tires frequently.
