The two highest scoring teams in NBA took to the court Wednesday night and did not disappoint <\/strong><\/center><\/font><\/p>\n The Golden State Warriors rallied from 22 points down to gut out a 128-114 win at home Wednesday night versus the Dallas Mavericks behind Stephen Curry’s 51-point game.<\/p>\n
26 of Curry\u2019s points came in the third quarter and he finished 16 of 26 from the field. Klay Thompson added 18 points and Draymond Green was a beast on the boards finishing with a solid 10 rebounds.<\/p>\n
Tyson Chandler, who finished with 21 points and 17 rebounds, and the Mavs jumped out to a sizable lead early in the game. Despite the early lead coupled with Chandler’s double-double and Chandler Parsons’ 24 points, the Warriors were still able to claw their way to a win, thanks in part to the Mavericks missing Rajon Rondo and a poor shooting performance from Dirk Nowitzki as he finished only 4 of 15 from the field.<\/p>\n\n
The excitement came when Curry hit a huge 3-pointer with 10 minutes left in the third quarter that tied the game for the first time. Chandler answered with a vicious dunk on the other end, but the Warriors were already hot and after a barrage of multiple back-to-back three-point shots they were on a 13-2 run before you knew it. They finished the third quarter with a 101-98 lead.<\/p>\n
After jumping out to a 10-point lead early in the fourth quarter, Curry and the Warriors refused to look back as they held the lead for the rest of the game. Curry put the cherry on top with a dazzling one-on-one embarrassment of Dallas’ Raymond Felton before hitting a three-pointer to notch his 49th, 50th, and 51st points of the game to secure the win.<\/p>\n
The win puts the Warriors at 39-8 for the season keeping their place as first in the Western Conference while the Mavs fall to 33-18 and remain sixth in the conference.
