Thousands of cyclists are preparing for an annual seven-day ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds and awareness about AIDS.<\/p>\n
The annual AIDS Lifecycle is an event where participants must fundraise a minimum of $3,000 to participate.<\/p>\n
The event will be hosted June 1-7, and all funds raised will be split between the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the end of every evening they have events to promote the work of these two foundations as well as a candle light vigil on the beach in Ventura, on the final evening of the ride,\u201d said David Weller, professor of health education.<\/p>\n
