Vice President of Administrative Services Greg Nelson presented an updated master plan of the completed campus by 2025 to the College Planning Council on Nov. 11.<\/p>\n
In the final version the men\u2019s baseball field may become parking or may be moved to a new location. The men\u2019s baseball team will continue to practice off site until a final determination is made.<\/p>\n
The demolition of the vocational buildings was presented along with their replacement structure.<\/p>\n
A new theater complex constructed next to the Lady Jaguars softball field will replace the current aged theatre structure.<\/p>\n
A service road including a bicycle lane will be constructed and designed to circle the campus for easy to access to campus buildings.<\/p>\n
The CPC asked for additional time to present this final plan to various constituency groups before forwarding the construction plan to the college president.<\/p>\n
Two Memorandums of Agreement were presented to the CPC for a first reading.<\/p>\n
The first MOA was prepared by former interim SJCC president Doug Treadway between Xing Wei College, in China and SJCC.<\/p>\n
This agreement set the groundwork for cultural exchanges and studying abroad between the two colleges.<\/p>\n
The first leg of the agreement will be a distance learning program for XWC provided by SJCC.<\/p>\n
Future phases of the agreement will open up a pathway for student exchanges and studying abroad with academic credit between the two colleges.<\/p>\n
The Greater San Jose Hispanic Chamber of Commerce presented the second MOA. GSJHC is comprised of approximately 600 micro, small, medium and multinational businesses spread throughout out the U.S. and the world.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
