Gavin Newsom at a press conference. \u201cCalifornia is focused on getting relief dollars and unemployment assistance in the hands of those who need it as quickly as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>California is home to more than 2 million undocumented immigrants that have not received financial aid from the government.<\/p>\n<p>Because of this, Gov. The program will run through June 30 or until all the funding is spent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConsidering the scrutiny that immigrants are receiving right now, I think it\u2019s great that they are able to receive government funding,\u201d said SJCC student Victoria Tapia, 22. \u201cThey are risking their lives just like us (citizens), maybe even more.
