For those who observe Dia de los Muertos, there will be related events host on the San Jose City College campus during the week.<\/p>\n
Dia de los Muertos is a holiday of Mexican origins which celebrates the spirits of the deceased. Traditionally alters are built with offerings to these spirits to encourage the visitation of their souls.<\/p>\n
On Oct. 30-31, there will be a community alter built in the SJCC Art Gallery. The theater instructor, Anita Reyes will be on site at 11am each day to help students pay tribute to their loved ones.<\/p>\n
The cosmetology students will be providing free face painting from 9:30-11am on November 1st<\/sup> to celebrate the holiday.
