Federal work study is\u00a0the answer to finance\u00a0your college education<\/strong><\/p>\n

Federal Work Study is a financial aid\u00a0grant to San Jose City College used to employ\u00a0students at various on-campus jobs.<\/p>\n

The financial aid office administers these\u00a0funds and at any time, there are 90 to 100\u00a0SJCC students employed through this financial\u00a0aid program.<\/p>\n

The minimum wage is currently $10.30\u00a0per hour. To qualify, students must be enrolled\u00a0in courses with a minimum of six\u00a0units and carry a 2.0 GPA at minimum.<\/p>\n

There are a large variety of jobs available,\u00a0such as student ambassadors, adaptive\u00a0physical education aides, tutors and\u00a0office positions. A sampling of available\u00a0jobs can be found at www.sjcc.edu, on the\u00a0Financial Aid and Scholarships page.<\/p>\n

The work study program can be used in\u00a0conjunction with the Board of Governor\u2019s\u00a0Fee Waiver to maximize a student\u2019s ability\u00a0to finance his\/her college education.<\/p>\n
