<\/a><\/p>\nASG Vice President Sia G. Sa’Quee said she hopes to improve Communication between students, ASG and the administration. She said she plans to make use of the social media and various ASG activities to outreach and include students into college life.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are all in a community, even though we focus on academic goals we all have to get along and develop our communication and leadership skills,\u201d Sa\u2019Quee said, \u201c I just want students to know that they have a student government that cares for them and works with them to see that everybody achieves their goals and the dreams for our (their) lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

ASG President Cody Mowbray\u2019s main objective is to establish a sense of community for\u00a0\u00a0 students especially the evening students.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hope to make more events for students, and get the word out to get students excited with what\u2019s happening (on campus), Mowbray said.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mowbray plans to make the VTA Echo Pass a major project of this semester. The VTA Echo Pass will provide students with inexpensive bus transportation to campus. A 200 pass pilot project will be undertaken this semester to help define student usage and establish potential student body cost for the VTA Echo Pass.<\/p>\n
Student Development and Activities Program Coordinator, Elizabeth Eckford sees the ASG as an advocacy instrument for students in obtaining Book Vouchers, transportation and eliminating obstacles that stand in the way of student success.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m hopeful for the student body this year\u201d Eckford said. \u201cThere have been a lot of (positive) changes on campus.\u201d<\/p>\n

ASG meetings are held every Wednesday, room SC 204 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n
